Join Open Borders in Observing 16 Days of Activism to End Gender-Based Violence

Starting November 25, we unite with global advocates to mark the 16 Days of Activism against gender-based violence (GBV), a campaign running from the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women to Human Rights Day. This year’s theme, “Towards Beijing +30: UNiTE to End Violence Against Women and Girls,” reaffirms the enduring global commitment to achieving gender equality and eradicating sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV).

At Open Borders, we are dedicated to addressing the intersecting forms of inequality that perpetuate SGBV, particularly for women and girls from marginalized communities. Our efforts focus on inclusivity by acknowledging how gender, race, sexuality, disability, and socioeconomic status shape the lived experiences of survivors.

Thanks to the collaboration and dedication of our partners, we are advancing impactful campaigns and fostering change in our communities. Over the next 16 Days, we will amplify our collective voices, share strategies, and work towards a future free from violence and discrimination.

We invite you to stand with us in this vital mission. Together, we can create safe and inclusive spaces for everyone and bring an end to GBV.
