Our mission is to champion human rights, fostering a world where every individual’s dignity and freedoms are respected and protected.
- Reforming the police and the military and ensure women’s inclusion in the reformed structures
- Human rights and legal issues
- Creating mechanisms to address women’s rights and prevent human rights violations
- Promoting public awareness and national laws – especially among women
- Amending the Armenian civil law to address issues currently affecting civil society
- Creating a legitimate mechanism to prevent domestic violence, enforced marriages
- Promoting the rule of law in Armenia
- Taking immediate action to implement resolution 1325
- Putting in place mechanisms to protect the civil, political, cultural and social rights of women.
- Revitalizing the education system and prioritizing the education of women and girls
- Advocating for equal education
- Initiating career centers and future career testing system in the schools
- Initiating development programs for women and girls in the capital, provinces and rural areas
- Building young people’s capabilities and equip them with skills to meet the labor demands through relevant education, develop entrepreneurship programs to engage youth
- Ensuring equal opportunities and access to education and employment and creating mechanisms to tackle gender discrimination
- Overseeing the monitoring of the State Budget and Local Budgets in the RA.
- Promoting and supporting women’s active participation in political processes
- Developing mechanisms and making opportunities available for women to participate in the reconstruction efforts
- Advocating for the appointment of more women to ministerial portfolios in line with their experience and qualifications
- Maintaining a safe and securing environment that will promote women’s participation in social and political activities
- Ensuring that women are included in an effective disarmament, demobilization and reintegration (DDR) process
