Lusine Zakalashvili is the Vice-President of the Open Borders Institute (OBI), where she orchestrates the Institute’s Strategic Communications, Program Development, and Global Advocacy. A specialist in the intersection of Education, Gender Equality, and Peacebuilding, Lusine ensures that OBI’s mission resonates across diverse cultural and linguistic borders.

The Power of Multilingual Diplomacy

A Master of English Language and Pedagogy from Yerevan State University, Lusine is a certified interpreter and high-level communications strategist. Her expertise is built on a foundation of Global Discourse, having led corporate training and multilingual initiatives for Armenia’s Elite Technology Sector and international civil society forums. This linguistic precision allows OBI to bridge the gap between European policy and local community impact.

Trauma-Informed & Survivor-Centered Advocacy

Advancing her commitment to Human Security, Lusine is currently pursuing a second Master’s degree in Psychology. This specialization equips OBI with a sophisticated, trauma-informed approach to: Survivor-Centered Support: Designing programs for the prevention of gender-based violence.
