Open Borders Institute President Participates in Vital Voices Global Partnership Event
From February 6th to 8th, 2024, Open Borders Institute of Peace, Democracy, and Development had the honor of being represented by our President Miss Eleonora Begoyan at an essential event organized by the Vital Voices Global Partnership (VV) and the Avon Foundation for Women. The event, known as the Technical Institute on Gender-Based Violence (GBV). The Technical Institute brought together global leaders from Europe, Asia, America and Africa who have previously participated in the Voices Against Violence: The Gender-Based Violence Global Initiative (VAV). This initiative encompasses various projects, including the Urgent Assistance Fund, Justice Institutes, local subawards, or the VAV Consortium, all aimed at advancing its objectives. Our President's participation in this event signifies our commitment to combating gender-based violence and improving responses to such issues. With her expertise and experience in this field, we are confident that her contribution has been invaluable to the objectives of the Technical Institute. At a time when gender-based violence is on the rise globally, the Technical Institute served as a platform to enhance regional and global coordination efforts in addressing this pressing issue. We are proud to have been part of this initiative and remain dedicated to advancing gender equality and peace worldwide.
